Carberry Show 2022

On the 21^st July 2022, at the Carberry Show, history was made, Cnocnaratha Liberty, a lovely red heifer bred by James Casey achieved a 2^nd place finish in DAFM Breeders Choice Traditional 4 or 5 star heifer between 1 and 2 years of age. This Class was open to the 4 Native Breeds plus any of the other Traditional Breeds (Shorthorn, Angus etc). This was the first time a Droimeann animal was shown competitively. Congratulations are due to James for the effort in preparing the animal for competition. Hopefully it will encourage other breeders to show their animals at their local shows. Hopefully in the future we will be able to organise classes specifically for our Droimeann breed.
